I think my favourite part is to look at novel findings and figure out the explanation for it. That’s not specific to Psychology, but just my love for science and discovery and understanding.
I love that psychology helps us learn more about ourselves and the people around us. Once you’ve started learning about different psychological theories and concepts, you’ll start seeing them everywhere!
My favourite type of psychology is applied cognitive psychology. I like learning about how cognitive functions such as memory and attention, and then thinking about how we can use this knowledge to make changes in the real world. For example, think about postcodes – they’re split into two little chunks that are easy to remember. This was done on purpose based on memory research which tells us about how chunking information can make it easy to remember!
